Ecolabel certification: environmentally-friendly vacations with Campilo

If the reflex of selective sorting or low-energy light bulbs is now widespread at home, why shouldn’t it be the same on vacation? That’s the commitment Campilô made in June 2018. An eco-friendly campsite to enable you to spend a vacation even closer to nature.
Ecolabel certification allows everyone to identify the products but also the vacation spots, like Campilô, that are the most environmentally friendly. It’s a European certification, created by the European Commission.

On a day-to-day basis, what does this mean and what does it change?

This means that Campilô contributes on a daily basis to reducing its impact on the environment by meeting various criteria in terms of overall reduction of water and energy consumption, use of renewable energies, reduction of waste and increased selective sorting, or promotion of environmentally-friendly transport.

At Campilô, for example, all traffic is by foot or bicycle. We use low-energy light bulbs in all our accommodation and campsite areas, we water our plantations with water collected and stored in the pond, and we buy responsibly and, for the most part, locally.

And that’s what makes a Campilô vacation so special: knowing that you’re spending your vacation in harmony with nature.
