Campilo has always been committed to a respectful and eco-responsible environmental approach. Our nature campsite in the Vendée region was awarded theEuropean ecolabel in 2018, based on various criteria: use and control of energy, waste, water, detergents, reuse of materials for a new life, no vehicles on the plots, etc. Since its award in 2018, the label has been renewed every 2 years.

Our eco-responsible approach

A campsite near La Roche-sur-Yon, set in the heart of nature on the banks of 2 fishing ponds, Campilo is a committed campsite in the Vendée, where pedestrians have always been welcome. Every year, Campilo implements actions in favor of the environment and is committed to :

PRESERVE WATER through rational water management

– Fitting our mobile home taps with flow reducers
– Installing push buttons in our sanitary facilities
– Recovering rainwater to water our green spaces
– Fitting our swimming pools with heat pump systems

REDUCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION through

– our walkways lit by solar-powered bollards
– the creation of a 100% pedestrian-friendly campsite, limiting the use of cars

REDUCE WASTE PRODUCTION by implementing

– selective sorting and a composter
– shredding and reuse of green waste at the
campsite – a reuse policy with donations to associations and reuse of materials for second lives

SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSES

by promoting local producers and craftsmen in our store and on the campsite.

by making them aware of Campilo’s environmental approach and providing them with the key

Pedestrian

Since its creation in 2011, the Campilo campsite has always been pedestrian-friendly: no cars on the driveways. Why this choice? Quite simply to ensure peace and quiet on the campsite, preserve the environment and, above all, ensure safety. Children can walk, run or cycle without fear for themselves or their parents. We have several parking lots within the campsite, depending on your location. One parking space is reserved per rental unit.

In 2018, our eco-friendly campsite near La Roche-sur-Yon was awarded ECOLABEL certification. This certification is renewed every 2 years and identifies not only products but also environmentally-friendly vacation spots.

“This label is a recognition of the values of our campsite for vacations in harmony with nature […] since traffic has always passed through on foot or by bike,” explains Nathalie PILLENIÈRE, founder of Campilo.

Certain reflexes are widespread in everyday life: sorting or eliminating waste, using low-energy light bulbs, using renewable energies. So why not do the same at the campsite?
