With respect for animal life and to preserve the ecosystem, fishing at Campilo is “NO KILL “, meaning that fish are returned to the water immediately after being reeled in. That’s why it’s so important to respect the rules, such as never using barbed hooks or braids that could damage the fish. Fishing here is a leisure activity, not a competition. Above all, anglers are here to have fun and enjoy their stay in the great outdoors.

Practical information for fishing at the campsite ponds in Vendée

At our 4-star campsite with fishing pond in the Vendée, access to our private ponds is free (included in your stay) and does not require a fishing license. It is reserved exclusively for Campilo customers.

You’ll be able to catch carp and whitefish (no-kill fishing, as shown). Bring your own fishing tackle and enjoy this superb spot. We offer landing mat and landing net hire (on request and subject to availability). You’ll find several fishing stores in La Roche-sur-Yon if you need bait or hooks, as well as bait and hooks in nearby hypermarkets.

A maximum of 3 lines are allowed per site, including 2 dedicated to carp and 1 hand-held with a float from the banks. Night fishing is prohibited. It’s another opportunity to discover a calm, natural site, with colors that vary with the seasons and the weather. So there’s no specific time of year to come to the fishing pond campsite near La Roche-sur-Yon, but only if you feel like it.
