Carp fishing is the law at Campilo ! And there are plenty of fish to be found in the campsite’s ponds. At the 4-star Campilo campsite, we’re lucky enough to have two lakes full of fish. In the large 3-hectare pond, you can catch some very fine carp, with a record catch of 19 kg ! Au cœur du deuxième étang de 1,8 hectares vous trouverez des poissons de plus petite taille, comme des gardons ou d’autres poissons blancs. Nos pêcheurs apprécient particulièrement la tranquillité des berges ombragées, le calme du camping et cette nature préservée.

With respect for animal life, fishing at Campilô is “”NO KILL””, meaning that fish are thrown back into the water immediately after being reeled in.
That’s why it’s so important to follow the rules, such as never using barbed hooks. Fishing here is for leisure and not for competition. Above all, anglers are here to have fun and enjoy their stay in the great outdoors.
A very beautiful environment to relax in between fishing and peace and quiet. The pond is in good proportion to the campsite’s capacity. I’d come back again to fish the pond for carp : I think I’ll be in for some surprises !

Our ponds are in the heart of the campsite. No need to leave the campsite to fish… It’s better for the children and for you. Some of our accommodation is just a few metres from the water, making it even more enjoyable :
*the Cottage du Lac Premium++ 3 bedrooms for 6 people (in front of the lake, on the side of the spawning area, just a few dozen metres from the fishing)
*the Chalet du Lac 4 LEAVES 2 bedrooms 4 people (facing the lake, with fishing in front)
*the Cottage du Lac Premium++ 2 bedrooms (overlooking the lake, with a path to cross for fishing)
Ideal for fishing while enjoying your family, just a few steps away from you.
At our 4-star campsite with fishing pond, access to our private ponds is free (included in your stay) and does not require a fishing licence. It is reserved exclusively for Campilô customers.
You can catch carp, white fish and predators (no-kill fishing, as described). We do not lend out fishing tackle. You’ll find a fishing shop in La Roche-sur-Yon. You can also find bait, landing nets and hooks in nearby hypermarkets.
A maximum of 3 lines are allowed per pitch, including 2 dedicated to carp and 1 hand-held with a float from the banks.
In the campsite’s ponds, you’ll find different varieties of white fish such as carp and roach.
By practising no-kill fishing, we are able to maintain a constant supply of aquatic fauna. These also thrive in the spawning area set up on the edge of the large fishing pond.
In addition, specific plants allow the fish to develop harmoniously while combating the silt.
It is possible to fish from April to the end of September in Campilô, from sunrise to sunset. Night fishing is prohibited.
It’s another opportunity to discover a calm, natural site, with colours that vary according to the season and the weather.
So there are no specific times to come to the campsite with fishing pond, but only if you feel like it.
